Private and Small Group Workshops
Put my 38 years of professional shooting experience to work for you! I am now offering private and small-group instruction in both Fine Art Photography and Photoshop, taylored to fit you or your group's needs. Over the past eight years, I have worked with photographers whose ability levels have ranged from beginner to professional. In the field, I teach both the technical side of the camera (either film or digital) along with vision and composition techniques for creating stunning images.
These intensive workshops can include a full day of shooting, a full day of Photoshop, or a combination of the two - you decide. We will start at dawn and go through dusk - so bring lots of energy and a passion for learning! Most students learn more in one day than in an entire week of workshops!
Field instruction can be held along the Big Sur / Monterey / Carmel coast, Point Lobos State Reserve, Pinnacles National Monument, San Juan Bautista or Fremont Peak State Park. I am also willing to travel to Yosemite, eastern Sierra, and Death Valley (I have a lot of experience with all these locations) at an additional fee.

Topics covered in the field will include:
- Exposure
- White Balance

Each full-day private workshop will last a maximum of 10 hours (winter days may be shorter but we will work from dawn to dusk). Each half-day private workshop will last a maximum of 5 hours. Due to the length of summer days, we will shoot either a sunrise or a sunset TBD ahead of time. A 45-minute lunch/breakfast break will also be scheduled. Meals are not included as part of the workshop.
