iPhone Photo Workshop in Carmel and the Big Sur Coast
May 4-6, 2012
Grab your iPhone and spend one incredible weekend learning to make better landscape and portrait images in beautiful Carmel, California. Scott Schilling, Mike Hall and I will demonstrate and teach many of our favorite camera and processing apps and will show you just how powerful and creative your iPhone really is! We will begin on Friday, May 4 with a two-hour welcome evening presentation and will offer 10 more hours of weekend instruction, presentations, and training. Included in the workshop will be (3) location shoots at Point Lobos State Reserve and Garrapata State Park. We will also offer instruction to help you improve your individual and group portraits.
This workshop will have an emphasis on classroom and field training. It will also include training on the following topics:
* Our favorite camera apps
* Our favorite processing apps
* Creative processing techniques
* Previsualization techniques
* Instruction on "building" images via layers and masks
* Prepping an image for web and print
* Location shoots along the world class Big Sur coastline
* Individual and group portrait training (including indoor and outdoor lighting and posing tips)
* Vision instruction including techniques for composing and capturing better landscape images
* Group image review session with comments from our instructors

Cost: $300.00 (Includes a digital copy of Don Smith's The Photographer's Guide to the Big Sur Coast). Hotel and meals not included.

Lodging: The workshop will be held at the Carmel Mission Inn next to the Crossroads and Barnyard Shopping Centers. Students are encouraged to stay at the hotel but it is not a requirement. For Reservations, please dial 800.348.9090
Meals: Workshop fee does not include meals
Transportation: Students are required to provide their own transportation.
Travel and other expenses: Under no circumstances will I refund any charge not paid to me, such as (but not limited to) airfare, lodging, car rental, or meals. Though I’ve never had to cancel a workshop, and consider the possibility extremely remote, for your peace of mind I strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance to cover any losses resulting from a cancelled workshop.
